Five years after the founding of the company in Canada 1904, the first Ford cars were introduced in Malaya in 1909, bringing an entirely new concept of transportation in the country. In 1929, Ford Company of Malaya was established to handle the assembly and distribution of Ford vehicles through retail dealers in Singapore, the Federation states, North Borneo and Sarawak. 

In 1956, 30 years after the company's establishment, the 60,000th vehicle to be delivered to customers by Ford Malaya rolled off the assembly line expresses the basic Ford policy of bringing their cars to owners the benefits of local assembly and stocks of service parts.

Today, Ford cars are distributed and sold under the Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) banner and brings Malaysians Ford vehicles such as the Fiesta, Fiesta ST, Focus, S-Max, Mondeo, Everest, EcoSport, Kuga, Everest and the Mustang.
